Kane was literally dead when Kathy McGuir
e pulled
him from a shelter almost eighteen months ago. He
was in a ketoacidosis state which means his blood
sugar was so high (600) he was almost dead. Kane
has diabetes and has to have insulin every day and
coupled with that he was hit with a blunt instrument
that traumatized one of his eyes!! It doesn’t hurt
him but just looks a little cock eyed!!!
Kane was rushed to
Marlton
Animal
Hospital where the doctors there saved his life and
of course everyone fell in love with him.
Kane was then officially “adopted” by the
wonderful people at
West Jersey
Volunteers for Animals
and they have loved him and helped him
through his recuperation period and paid for his
medical needs.
Kane
is neutered, up to date on all shots and
heartworm/lymes negative. He is handsome,
friendly, very playful and has a sweet
personality. He likes other dogs and also
children. He is presently in a training program
with a local training facility to make him even a more
adoptable dog, he has learned his commands and
to heel on and off leash. He also socializes
with other dogs. He has done so wonderfully, he
is ready to graduate. But his training with a
local training facility will be for life, so whoever adopts him,
will be able to bring him back for classes at
any time.
If you could please find it in your heart to
adopt Kane, this sweet boy needs a responsible
home with a family to love him. He will return
that love 10 times over.
Kane can be seen most Saturdays, from 1-4, at
Pet Smart in Moorestown.

"For perhaps, if the truth were known, we're all
a little blind, a little deaf, a little
handicapped, a little lonely, a little less than
perfect. And if we can learn to appreciate and
utilize the dog's full potentials, we will,
together, make it in this life on earth."
