Little
Suki Yamaguchi
Almost
one year ago this month, a little Japanese Chin
was surrendered by a family in Camden City who no
longer wanted her. They had too many animals and
no money for the ones they did have. While driving
around Camden City picking up owned dogs and cats
to be spayed and neutered, the family flagged
Kathy McGuire down and asked if she could take the
sweet little dog.
Ms. McGuire not having an extra crate put the
little girl under coat and drove straight to a
friend's home. Upon seeing that little head
peaking out of Mrs. McGuire's coat our friend of
NJAFA agreed to "foster" her. It took not even a
weekend before this loving individual adopted Suki
into her home.
Now, one year later (and about four more pounds!)
little Suki Yamaguchi lives with two other
Japanese Chins (also rescued not purchased) and is
spoiled rotten. She was the perfect "fit" for a
loving home. Her forever human doesn't mind the
fact that Suki's little tongue hangs out. It just
makes her so much more beautiful.

A more happy ending to this story is that the
other animals this family in Camden had were all
spayed and neutered by NJAFA.
Kathy McGuire is Suki's official godmother and
this little sweetheart will never be more than a
few miles away to visit
