UPDATE
May 30th, 2008 -
Toby and Fritz,
rescued together in Camden but now in their
forever homes. It is always nice to receive
updates on the dogs we have adopted.
Hello Kathy:
Toby has really made himself at home and
is usually doing one of two things---laying with
his head in our laps or bringing us toy to play
with him. He has two toy baskets (one upstairs,
one downstairs) and he thinks it's the most fun in
the world to take out all of his toys, one by one,
and play with them endlessly--which is just
adorable to watch! We go on long walks every day
and hikes on the weekends...we call Toby "The
Mayor of Mantua" because everyone in town knows
him!
He has a couple of
doggie best friends that he LOVES to play with.
Our dog walker has two dogs and he plays with
them in her yard on most days. He also goes on
"adventures" with my mom and I and her
yorkie-poo Rocky. We go to the park, shopping,
hiking and Toby can't get enough!!!
Thank you so much
for bringing Toby into our lives! We feel so
blessed---it's amazing to see his personality
just grow each day. I check your website a lot
and I'm so happy to hear Fritz got adopted! I
always wonder if he and Toby miss each other.

 Toby
our darling Westie that was surrendered from
Camden found a loving home in Mantua! Toby was
living in a crate with ANOTHER dog that was
surrendered at the same time, little Fritz who we
still have available never separated. Poor little
boys NEVER had play time or were bathed. They were
filthy and both had infections on their bottoms
from sitting in urine in their cage.
Toby's new owners loved him from the minute they
saw him and wanted a dog with energy but also one
that liked to cuddle. They even went to visit Toby
while we were out of town and Toby was staying
with our friends at Halo House!
When we returned and picked up Toby, we made the
suggestion that Toby have a "weekend sleepover"
with Alyson and Kevin. The weekend over, we were
NOT going to get Toby back. He had "won their
hearts". In the comfort of a quiet home, where he
is the "top dog" with loving people, Toby has a
little bell he now rings to go out and cuddles
with Kevin.
Toby is the only animal and spoiled rotten
already! He goes for long walks with his humans.
He sleeps quietly tuckered out at night after play
play playing with Alyson and Kevin all the time.
Thanks to this wonderful couple. I wish we had
about l00 more of them!
