UPDATE ON VIOLET~
She is super sweet and waiting for her forever home.  She sleeps all day, is housebroken and when she isn't sleeping follows me like a shadow.  She is a good little girl and would make a great companion for a senior or someone who wants a lap dog!!!

URGENT NEED HELP WITH VET BILL FOR DOG FROM CAMDEN

Three years ago when I first started this group, one of the first dogs I picked up was a dog I had been following in Camden for a month.  I was able to get her pups and find good homes for them and finally caught up with the mother.  "Violet" had an embedded collar with l00's of maggots coming from her neck and was in pretty bad shape.

At that time, the vet we took her to said just euthanize her.  I refused.  We had her spayed and her neck treated and she was turned into a very loving dog.  She was being adopted to the loving family that also took her pups and they would all be together.

Violet was named because of her forgiving nature.  Whatever awful person turned her out (we know she was owned because of her collar), didn't care about her but she forgave all of us.

"Violet"

Violet was adopted into her home with her two puppies but the day she got there, she escaped under the brand new fencing the owners had put up.  Violet adopted in Winslow Township was trying to find her way back to Camden and by going over the high speed line in Lindenwold was struck by a train and killed.   Our little Violet was gone forever.  The new owners who had spent so much time putting up new fencing but she still found a way out, were devasted as was I.

Now, as our violets are blooming in the front of our house, another little tiny girl from Camden needs our help again. "Violet" as we have named her needs our help.

Last Monday, Kathy McGuire received a call from a resident in Camden who no longer wanted her dog because the dog was "sick".  NJAFA took the dog who had pyometra and suffering from diabetic shock to be operated on.

Because of the severity of her condition, she is being hospitalized.  Her outcome is fragile.  Little Violet had the surgery for pyometra but because of that and her condition of untreated diabetes, she is still very fragile.

Our hospital and vet bill is climbing every day.  The original vet that saw her told us to euthanize her but we are trying to help her if we can, like we did the last one that was so sick in Camden.

Violet is a sweet sweet little white terrier mix that looks like Toto!!  If she survives through the weekend, she will be ready to come home and start on her insulin which is also very expensive.  (We will be looking for a foster for her if she survives who is experienced with diabetic dogs.)

Won't you consider offering a donation specific to Violet's surgery and hospitalitzation?
